Establishment of 'Web·App' Division Alongside Existing Two Divisions
125 Participants from 19 Group Companies
On the 21st, KT announced, “KT will implement the 2023 Group DX One Team to strengthen the digital capabilities of KT group companies.” The ‘Group DX One Team’ is now in its third year. It is a program that supports coaching and hands-on training to enable group companies to independently identify and execute tasks aimed at digital transformation work innovation and enhancing capabilities in artificial intelligence (AI) and robotic process automation (RPA).
This year, a new ‘Web·App’ division was established. The ‘APPDU (KT’s proprietary development platform),’ which provides container-based development and operation zones (a package that combines an application and all elements necessary for its execution) within the KT cloud environment, was applied to group companies. APPDU has already been deployed to six regional headquarters nationwide, with 35 tasks currently in operation and 43 tasks under development.
KT supports VOD lectures and case practice training through its internal education portal. In particular, this year, an RPA task for financial process innovation was added to enhance group-level financial management capabilities. Additionally, KT’s excellent instructors provide feedback on task execution results through coaching activities to strengthen IT capabilities. Through collaboration among group companies, B2B domain experience will be capitalized on, expecting a ‘Win-Win’ effect between KT and its group companies.
This year, a total of 125 participants from 19 group companies will take part. Ten companies that have secured the ability to operate the program independently will manage it on their own. Six companies with 10 members who demonstrated capabilities as task leaders last year will serve as coaches to spread DX innovation across each group company. Jung Chan-ho, Senior Executive Director of KT IT Strategy Planning and head of the Group DX One Team TF, stated, “We expect group companies to create more synergy through DX work innovation and capability enhancement via regular consultative bodies such as the group CIO roundtable and TF support systems this year as well.”
