Naming Contest for Youth Hub Spaces

Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, is creating a youth hub space where young people can freely gather and is accepting submissions for a new name for the youth complex cultural space, tentatively called Geochang Cheongchun Changgo, until May 12.

Geochang Cheongchun Changgo was originally a feed warehouse operated by the Livestock Cooperative, which the county purchased in November 2020 and transformed into a cultural space for residents. From April to September last year, it was pilot-operated as a youth hub space.

Following this, through the urban regeneration cultural community space creation project, the current Geochang-gun Youth Hub Project is underway. After the official opening of the youth space in June, it will be utilized as a complex space for youth culture, relaxation, learning, meetings, and an outdoor resting area.

Anyone can participate in the naming contest by referring to the announcement on the county office website under the Legislation/Announcement/Notice section and submitting an application form via email.

Submissions must be original works; entries that are not the applicant’s own work (such as plagiarism or unauthorized use) will be excluded from the evaluation.

The submitted names will be judged in the first round based on ‘appropriateness’?how well the name reflects the identity and vision of the youth space, ‘popularity’?whether it is easy for anyone to say, remember, and feels friendly, and ‘originality’?whether the expression is fresh and creative. Afterward, the final winner will be selected through a youth preference survey by actual users and a final review by the Youth Policy Committee, with a prize awarded to the winning entry.
