He is currently on trial after being detained and indicted last month on charges of using drugs mixed with methamphetamine and ecstasy components, as well as liquid marijuana, while staying overseas from late last year to early this year.

The prosecution reportedly confirmed Kim's marijuana smoking by conducting a hair test again after a urine test conducted to verify his additional charges showed a negative result for marijuana.

Kim is the grandson of the late Kim Indeuk, honorary chairman and founder of Byeoksan Group, and is known to be the largest shareholder and an executive of an agricultural machinery company that separated from the Byeoksan Group affiliates.
