Jeil Pharmaceutical announced on the 20th that it conducted cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) usage training for Jeil Group employees at its headquarters in Seocho-gu, Seoul.

The CPR training was linked with the visiting emergency treatment education provided by the Seocho-gu Public Health Center and consisted of theory emphasizing the importance of CPR, hands-on CPR practice using mannequins, and AED practice. This training covered ▲ CPR and automated external defibrillator use ▲ Heimlich maneuver ▲ infant and young child CPR, among others.
If CPR is performed within the first minute of an actual cardiac arrest, the survival rate exceeds 95%. However, after the so-called golden time of 4 minutes passes, the survival rate sharply drops to below 25%, making it crucial for the first witness to perform CPR immediately.
During this training, Jeil Pharmaceutical conducted practical sessions on how witnesses should respond, how to report to emergency services (119), the correct chest compression points and posture for accurate CPR, and how to use an AED. Additionally, an AED is permanently installed on the first floor of the Seocho-dong headquarters, where there is a high flow of people, enabling prompt response to emergencies around the headquarters.
A Jeil Pharmaceutical representative stated, "As a pharmaceutical company that is a key part of the healthcare sector, it was necessary to strengthen our ability to respond to emergencies, which is why we conducted this training. We will continue to expand various educational programs that contribute to the local community and fulfill our social responsibility as a corporate citizen."
