A man in his 30s was arrested by the police after stealing a vehicle and causing an accident while intoxicated.

On the 20th, the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul announced that they had arrested Mr. A (39) on the previous day on charges of robbery and violation of the Road Traffic Act (drunk driving).
According to the police, Mr. A allegedly got into an altercation near Yeongdeungpo-dong around 11:45 p.m. the previous day, assaulted Mr. B, a male driver in his 20s who had exited his vehicle, and stole the vehicle. He then drove about 200 meters before crashing into three other vehicles.
The police, who responded to a report at around 11:57 p.m. the previous day, arrested Mr. A at the scene at approximately 12:10 a.m. that day.
At the time of arrest, Mr. A's blood alcohol concentration was reported to be at the license cancellation level (0.08% or higher), indicating he was heavily intoxicated.
