Popera tenor Lim Hyung-joo will hold a concert to celebrate his 25th anniversary since debut.
His agency DGNCOM announced on the 18th that Lim Hyung-joo will hold a solo concert titled "Living History" at 7 p.m. on the 14th of next month at the National Theater's Haerum Theater.
This performance marks Lim Hyung-joo's 20th anniversary of his international debut and 25th anniversary of his domestic debut, and it is his first solo concert of the year.
At the concert, Lim Hyung-joo will perform hit songs such as "Becoming a Thousand Winds" and "I Wish You Happiness" together with the Korean National Philharmonic Orchestra, which he founded and serves as music director, and the famous chorus group New Wisdom Harmony.
He will also present sweet yet grand music encompassing classical, pop, jazz, and musicals. A portion of the ticket sales revenue from the concert will be donated to help underprivileged neighbors.
Lim Hyung-joo first stepped onto the domestic stage in 1998 with "Whispers of Hope." Five years later, in 2003, he made his international debut with "Salley Garden."
A DGNCOM representative said, "Lim Hyung-joo will present the unique world of popera he has showcased over the past 25 years to the audience in this performance."
Lim Hyung-joo will also hold a solo concert at the Grand Theater of Seoul's Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in September.
