Payment VAN (Value Added Network) company Nice Information & Telecommunication announced that it will launch two new terminals compatible with Apple Pay tomorrow (the 19th).
The main terminal is named NK-2500QN. As the successor to the existing NK-2000, it is a multi-pad that supports easy payments including Apple Pay. It supports IC, MS, NFC, and QR code payments, and also integrates a signature pad. It functions both as a signature pad and a PIN pad where passwords can be entered. Its compact design makes it easy to embed in kiosks and other devices.
Additionally, in case of a module error, only the cartridge-type module needs to be replaced, making after-sales service simple. It is expected to be released at a price more than half cheaper than the existing high-end multi-pad products in the market.
The mobile NFC reader NM-400, scheduled to be launched simultaneously, is manufactured by PAX, a global manufacturer. This is the first time Nice is introducing a globally manufactured mobile NFC reader product to the domestic market. Although it does not have a signature pad, it supports all payment methods including Apple Pay, IC, MS, and NFC.
It is an ultra-compact model measuring 67mm in width, 67mm in height, and 13mm in thickness. Weighing only 63g, it is lightweight and easy to carry, making it suitable for use as a portable Bluetooth reader linked with smartphones in delivery industries and others. It is expected to be released at an economical price point, satisfying both convenience and cost-effectiveness.
