After the relaxation of real estate regulations, the housing sales consumer sentiment index in Seoul has risen for three consecutive months.
According to the 'Real Estate Market Consumer Sentiment Survey' released by the Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements on the 17th, last month Seoul's housing sales market consumer sentiment index was 109.0, up 3.8 points from the previous month. This is the highest figure in 10 months since May last year (112.9).
The Seoul housing sales market consumer sentiment index had not escaped a downward phase for seven consecutive months but moved into a stable phase in February this year, showing an upward trend for three consecutive months since January. The consumer sentiment index is classified as a downward phase if below 95, stable between 95 and 114, and upward if 115 or above.
The nationwide housing sales market consumer sentiment index also rose by 1.5 points from the previous month to 103.6 in March, marking the highest level since May last year (109.4).
The non-metropolitan area sales sentiment index rose from 99.9 to 100.2, entering a stable phase. However, the sales sentiment index remained in a downward phase in Busan (95.2), Daegu (95.9), Gwangju (98.2), Chungbuk (97.9), Gyeongbuk (95.0), and Jeju (98.1).
The housing jeonse market consumer sentiment index also showed an increase. In March, Seoul's jeonse market consumer sentiment index was 86.4, up 5.1 points from the previous month, showing an upward trend for four consecutive months.
The nationwide housing jeonse market consumer sentiment index also rose by 2.2 points to 87.5. The nationwide real estate market consumer sentiment index, combining housing and land, was 94.9 in March, up 1.7 points from the previous month but still remained in a downward phase. The nationwide housing market consumer sentiment index, combining sales and jeonse, rose 1.9 points to 95.6, shifting into a stable phase.
