Methamphetamine per bottle, 3 times the single dose of 0.03g
Additional victims who drank the beverage confirmed... Total 9 people
The methamphetamine contained in the beverage used in the Gangnam 'drug drink' incident is known to be more than three times the usual single dose. The police stated that if a minor with no prior drug experience drank an entire bottle, it would be an amount concerning for 'acute poisoning.' One additional student victim who consumed the beverage was confirmed, bringing the total to eight students and one parent.

On the morning of the 17th, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Narcotics Crime Investigation Unit revealed in a briefing that each distributed drug beverage contained about 0.1g of methamphetamine. The typical single dose of methamphetamine is 0.03g. Andonghyeon, head of the Narcotics Crime Investigation Unit, explained, "Since it was ingested (not administered via injection), the risk is lower, but it is still a considerably dangerous amount."
The police estimate that out of 100 manufactured drug beverage bottles, 18 were distributed to students and others. Of the 18 bottles shared, 8 were actually consumed, and 4 were not consumed. The consumption status of the remaining 6 bottles is still under investigation. Thirty-six bottles were seized by the police in unopened condition, two distributors at the scene each consumed one bottle, and the remaining 44 bottles were identified as discarded.
Investigations into the higher-ups behind the drug beverage incident are also intensifying. The police have identified the higher-level accomplices, including Lee Mo, a Korean national who ordered Gil Mo, the manufacturer and distributor; Park Mo, a Chinese national involved in empty bottle delivery; and another Chinese national, Lee Mo, who instructed Gil Mo to deliver methamphetamine using the so-called 'throwing' method. On the 14th, Interpol red notices were requested for these three individuals.
The police plan to secure the suspects' custody through international cooperation investigations with Chinese public security authorities. They also intend to execute search warrants on messenger accounts and job recruitment sites used by the suspects presumed to be based in China, as well as conduct forensic investigations on mobile phones and relay devices owned by the arrested suspects.
At around 8:30 a.m. that day, Gil Mo, charged with violating the Narcotics Control Act, and Kim Mo, charged with violating the Telecommunications Business Act, were sent to the prosecution.
Gil Mo was arrested on the 7th on suspicion of sending drug beverages manufactured at his home in Wonju, Gangwon, to four part-time workers in Seoul via express bus and courier service. Investigations revealed that he made the drug beverage by mixing methamphetamine with milk after purchasing the methamphetamine. Kim Mo is suspected of installing and operating a relay device that changed Chinese-origin phone numbers used for threatening calls into domestic mobile phone numbers.
