Dedicated Efforts of Provincial Sports Festival Supporters
In anticipation of the ‘61st Gyeongbuk Provincial Sports Festival,’ Pohang City is dedicating itself daily to supporter activities by visiting the athletes who are sweating it out in training to offer encouragement and support.
First, on the 15th, the Pohang Lifelong Learning Center visited the training venue of the badminton team, who are fully committed to their training, to boost the athletes’ morale and wish them success in achieving the grand victory at the Gyeongbuk Provincial Sports Festival.
Kim Hyun-gu, Director of the Lifelong Learning Center, said, “I hope all the athletes complete the competition safely without injuries,” adding, “I believe they will achieve good results as they have prepared diligently for a long time.”
On the same day, the Bio-Future Industry Division and the Convention Tourism Industry Division of Pohang City visited the training site of the Ssireum (Korean wrestling) representative team, delivering words of encouragement along with drinks and snacks to the athletes and officials, reaffirming their determination to win the overall championship at the Provincial Sports Festival.
Kim Jeong-pyo, Director of the Bio-Future Industry Division, said, “I hope you achieve good results as you have practiced hard,” and urged, “Please compete with the goal of overall victory, as well as completing the competition safely without injuries.”
On the 12th, supporters of the wrestling team (General Affairs Saemaeul Division and Finance Management Division) and supporters of the roller skating team (Public Transportation Division, Vehicle Registration Division, and Singwang-myeon) visited the athletes to deliver warm encouragement.
Jung Seong-hak, Director of the General Affairs Saemaeul Division, said, “I have no doubt that you will perform as well as the sweat you have shed,” while Jung Hae-cheon, Head of the Headquarters, said, “Everyone, please do your best until the very end toward the overall victory at the Provincial Sports Festival.”
The Construction and Transportation Business Headquarters of Pohang City visited the soccer team’s training site on the 12th to encourage them by providing snacks and drinks, and on the 14th, they directly visited Uljin County, where the soccer matches were held, to wish the team success and cheer enthusiastically.
Jung Hae-cheon, Head of the Construction and Transportation Business Headquarters, said, “I hope the athletes fully demonstrate the skills they have honed so far and achieve good results.”
Following their encouragement of the basketball team training at Manindang on the 8th, Buk-gu Public Health Center visited the Uljin National Sports Center basketball court on the 14th, where preliminary games were held, to cheer passionately. Meanwhile, the Urban Planning Division and Urban Regeneration Division visited Daedong High School training site on the 13th to encourage the kendo team and carried out supporter activities.
