JYP Entertainment (035900) has surpassed a market capitalization of 3 trillion won. Park Jin-young, the chief producer, shared his thoughts on Instagram, saying, "An absurd dream has come true."

Singer Park Jin-young posted on his Instagram on the 15th a screenshot of an interview from 2014 where he stated, "JYP's target market capitalization is 3 trillion won," adding, "At the time of this interview in 2014, JYP's market capitalization was about 140 billion won," and wrote, "Looking back now, I laugh at how absurd my statement was."

JYP Entertainment's current market capitalization is 3.0173 trillion won.

Park Jin-young said, "But thanks to my colleagues, artists, fans, and investors, that absurd dream has come true," and added, "I can no longer predict what will happen to JYP in the future, but one promise I can make is to continue leading the company and myself with sincerity, diligence, and humility."

He also expressed confidence, saying, "I am truly grateful to everyone," and "Oh, and we screened up to episode 6 of A2K yesterday, so you can really look forward to it."

A2K is a global English-language-based girl group debut project that JYP is promoting together with Republic Records under Universal Music in the United States.

Recently, the stock prices of entertainment sector companies have shown strong performance, leading to a sharp increase in the market capitalization of related stocks. As of last month, the combined market capitalization of 23 media and content companies listed on the KOSPI and KOSDAQ markets increased by 3.2595 trillion won (14.0%) compared to the end of last year (December 29), reaching 26.0558 trillion won.
