Leading Advanced Technology Convergence Products Such as Collaborative Robots and Lidar Systems

KOTRA announced on the 16th that it will operate the integrated Korea Pavilion at the world's largest industrial exhibition, the 'Hannover Messe,' held in Hanover, Germany from the 17th to the 21st (local time).

It plans to support the exhibition of advanced technology convergence products from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies participating in the exhibition, which is being held at pre-COVID-19 pandemic scale.

KOTRA, together with the Korea Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association supporting 20 companies, and the Korea International Trade Association, Daejeon Job and Economy Promotion Agency, will organize an integrated Korea Pavilion with 32 companies and jointly promote to overseas buyers and investors. Including individual participating companies, a total of 72 Korean companies will participate in the exhibition.

Marking its 76th anniversary this year, the exhibition focuses on the theme of 'Industrial Transformation - Differentiation,' highlighting ways to save resources and reduce carbon emissions through digitalization and energy management.

More than 4,000 companies from fields such as industrial engineering, energy software, and IT will participate. The exhibition will present a leading industrial ecosystem model that optimizes all sectors of the industry from production to sales.

Indonesia is participating as the partner country of the exhibition, setting up a large-scale exhibition hall and hosting side events such as a business summit and Partner Country Night.

To maximize corporate networking opportunities, KOTRA will invite 80 buyers from five European countries including Germany to the Korea Pavilion and arrange 200 consultations. Following last year, the 'Digital Hannover Messe Korea Pavilion' will also be opened this year.

Korean companies at the pavilion will showcase core components of the 4th Industrial Revolution, ranging from traditional mechanical parts such as gears and valves to application software and collaborative robots. KOTRA, in cooperation with related organizations, will utilize the KOREA brand to conduct integrated pre-meetings, online promotions, and attract consulting buyers.

Additionally, promotional activities for the bid to host the '2030 Busan World Expo' will be conducted. A large LED screen will be installed at the Korea Pavilion to promote the charm of the maritime city of Busan.

Kim Hyun-chul, head of KOTRA’s Europe Regional Headquarters, said, "Korean companies are showing great interest in the industrial ecosystem model utilizing the latest industrial technologies presented at the Hannover Messe, which has returned to its former scale. KOTRA will continue to support Korean SMEs and mid-sized companies with advanced technologies in their global market expansion."
