Through this agreement, both parties have agreed to cooperate to popularize various marine leisure sports such as surfing and paragliding, and have first agreed to develop fishing as a popular leisure sport. According to the agreement, the Korea Leisure Sports Promotion Association will plan and operate fishing competitions, while SSG.com will support the promotion of the competitions and help fishing gear companies expand their sales channels. The Korea Leisure Sports Promotion Association will hold various types of fishing competitions tailored to the characteristics of each local government. During the competition period, SSG.com will conduct promotional activities including exposing special event banners on the main page and utilizing the company’s official SNS channels, as well as assisting small and medium-sized manufacturers handling fishing gear to enter SSG.com’s platform.
They also plan to jointly carry out ESG campaigns such as environmental protection activities around fishing spots including seas and freshwater bodies, and support for fishing households. They plan to hold charity fishing competitions with celebrities who love fishing and donate the proceeds to marine environmental protection organizations. To support small-scale fishing households, they will discuss ways to help by reprocessing discarded seafood past its sales period into frozen bait for fishing or by undergoing productization processes and supplying them to SSG.com.
