Nam Han-kwon, the governor of Ulleung County, visited the National Assembly on the 13th to urge the enactment of a special law supporting Ulleungdo and Dokdo.
He met with Congressman Kim Byung-wook, Jang Je-won, Chairman of the Administrative Safety Committee, Yoon Jae-ok, Floor Leader of the People Power Party, Kim Min-seok, Policy Committee Chair of the Democratic Party of Korea, and Jung Woo-taek, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, to explain the legislation and convey his strong determination.
Nam Hang-kwon, Ulleung County Governor (second from the right), visited the National Assembly and met with Jang Je-won, a member of the People Power Party, to appeal for the enactment of a special law supporting Ulleungdo and Dokdo.
He also visited the offices of members of the National Assembly's Administrative Safety Committee to deliver a petition for the enactment of the special law.
Jang Je-won, Chairman of the Administrative Safety Committee, responded, "I believe the special law supporting Ulleungdo and Dokdo is a necessary bill, and I will actively cooperate in its enactment."
Governor Nam, along with promotional activities for the special law in the National Assembly, attended the Gyeongbuk East Coast Win-Win Council on the 12th, where he requested joint action for the installation of emergency evacuation facilities in Ulleung County and asked for interest and support for the special law supporting Ulleungdo and Dokdo.
