Galaxy Z Fold4 User Review Highlights
"Far from a Heavy Brick Phone" Praise
Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft (MS), has attracted attention by sharing his review of the 'Galaxy Z Fold4' smartphone. This phone is known to have been gifted to him directly by Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong.
On the 11th (local time), Bill Gates posted on the business social networking platform 'LinkedIn' that "My current phone is the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4," expressing satisfaction by saying, "It is far from the heavy brick I carried around in the early days of MS."
He linked to an article marking the 50th anniversary of the first-ever mobile phone call made by humanity and added, "It's interesting to think about how much has changed since the first mobile phone appeared."

Bill Gates first revealed his smartphone model in January. At that time, during the 'Ask Me Anything' segment on Reddit, the largest online community in the U.S., when asked "What smartphone do you use every day?" he answered, "I have the Galaxy Z Fold4 that I received as a gift from Samsung Chairman JY (Lee Jae-yong) when I first met him in Korea," which became a hot topic.
Bill Gates visited Korea on August 16 last year and met with Chairman Lee to discuss the progress of the 'RT (Reinvent the Toilet)' project. The RT project is a development initiative for toilets intended for low-income countries, promoted by Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology and supported by Bill Gates' charitable foundation. Chairman Lee's 'gift' appears to have been given to Bill Gates on that day.
Bill Gates has insisted on using foldable phones for several years. In the Reddit Q&A session last May, he said, "I am a Fold3 user," adding, "The screen, a great portable PC, and just a phone are enough."
Regarding this, the U.S. IT specialized media 'SamMobile' explained, "It is somewhat understandable that Bill Gates uses a Samsung smartphone," adding, "Samsung and MS collaborate extensively in software, and Samsung's Galaxy smartphones are suitable devices for Windows OS users as well."
