Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, Checks the Progress of Public Pledge Projects in the 8th Term and Focuses on Issues and Solutions

A total of 53 public pledge projects underway, 5 projects completed as of the end of March 2023

Systematic management of public pledge projects through quarterly progress checks and evaluations



Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) held the ‘8th Term Public Pledge Project Progress Review Meeting’ on the 11th at the Dobong-gu Office CR Hall.


Presided over by Mayor Oh Eon-seok of Dobong-gu, this meeting was organized to review the overall progress of the public pledge projects and to seek out issues and solutions.


The district set the policy goals for the 8th term as ▲a vibrant co-prosperity economic city ▲a safe and healthy happy city ▲a balanced development city with convenient transportation ▲a high-quality education and cultural city ▲a transparent and innovative clean administration city, and established an implementation plan for a total of 53 public pledge projects in October last year.


Key public pledge projects include ▲active support for revitalization such as reconstruction and redevelopment ▲promoting regional balanced development through easing height restrictions zones ▲pushing for full undergrounding of the GTX-C line in Dobong-gu ▲improving entrances and exits of the Dongbu arterial road ▲establishing a new youth complex gymnasium ▲establishing a mid- to long-term development plan to revitalize Dobongsan tourism, among others.

As of the end of March 2023, five projects have been completed, including the establishment of a dedicated department for reconstruction and redevelopment, the establishment of a dedicated department for youth policy, and the suspension of parking enforcement during lunch and dinner hours, while 48 projects are progressing normally.


The district discloses the progress of public pledge projects in real time on the ‘Major Project Progress Status’ system established on the district website to guarantee residents’ right to know and increase transparency in pledge fulfillment.


Additionally, to ensure systematic and substantial progress of public pledge projects, the district plans to check and evaluate the progress quarterly and disclose the results on the district website.


Mayor Oh Eon-seok of Dobong-gu said, “We will do our best to ensure that the public pledge projects promised to residents proceed without any setbacks, and actively and efficiently implement the pledges to bring about changes in Dobong that residents can feel.”

Lee Ki-jae, Mayor of Yangcheon-gu, attended the ‘25th Anniversary Opening Ceremony of Yangcheon Senior Welfare Center’ on the morning of the 13th.


Opened in 1998, the Yangcheon Senior Welfare Center has contributed to revitalizing senior welfare infrastructure by strengthening a customized health management system for seniors, establishing a smart care system, developing community exchange programs, and creating jobs for the elderly.

At the opening ceremony, Mayor Lee Ki-jae of Yangcheon-gu said, “I sincerely congratulate the Yangcheon Senior Welfare Center on its 25th anniversary as a happy welfare foundation for Yangcheon’s seniors under the core values of love, communication, and innovation. The district government will also spare no support to make Yangcheon a city where seniors can live well.”
