The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced that as of midnight on that day, the number of new COVID-19 confirmed cases increased by 11,596, bringing the total to 30,956,026.
The number of new confirmed cases decreased by 2,230 from the previous day (13,926). Compared to a week ago on the 6th (12,080), it decreased by 484. The number of new confirmed cases has been declining for six consecutive days since the 8th compared to a week ago.
Among the new confirmed cases, 15 were imported from overseas. The number of critically ill patients hospitalized was 127, down by 2 from the previous day. The number of new deaths was 5, bringing the cumulative total to 34,347.
