"Wearing underwear and wandering around" police dispatched
Singapore netizens criticize "national embarrassment"

A woman active as the Twitch streamer 'KiaraKitty' in Singapore faced a confrontation with the police due to excessive exposure during an outdoor broadcast in Korea.

According to reports from AsiaOne, GameRent, and other foreign media on the 12th, KiaraKitty turned on her Twitch stream and conducted a live internet broadcast in Seoul on the 9th. The issue was her outfit. She wore a bunny headband and a thick fur coat over a bra top that fully exposed her cleavage, roaming the streets of Seoul for about nine hours.

At that time, two police officers, a man and a woman, suddenly approached her and spoke. The officers said, "Someone reported you. Do you not understand Korean at all?" KiaraKitty apologized, saying, "I have never been to Korea before, so I am not familiar with Korean laws."

The police explained through an interpreter, "You cannot wear underwear in public places," but KiaraKitty insisted, "No, what I am wearing now is cosplay clothing. I am definitely not wearing underwear."

After hearing KiaraKitty's position, the police checked her ID and then requested, "Please zip up your clothes," before leaving the scene.

After the police left, KiaraKitty quickly ended the broadcast. Shortly after resuming the stream, she expressed anger with profanity, saying, "Those jealous of my chest must have reported me. Shut up and help me make money." She later claimed on Instagram, "Being reported to the police and interrogated by Korean police was a frightening experience."

With 500,000 followers, she had previously received a broadcast suspension in January for doing squats in revealing clothing in front of the camera and had caused controversy by selling her farts and bathwater.

Meanwhile, according to the Minor Offenses Act, if a person publicly exposes major parts of the body such as genitals or buttocks in a public place, causing embarrassment or discomfort to others, they can be punished under the law for excessive exposure.
