Performance of 270.6 billion KRW based on BSP
Hana Tour announced on the 12th that its overseas airline ticket sales performance for the first quarter of this year, based on the Airline Passenger Sales Settlement System (BSP) where sales are officially recorded, reached 270.6 billion KRW, ranking first in the industry. This marks another time at the top following 25 consecutive years of leading this sector until last year.
According to Hana Tour's own data, overseas airline ticket sales for the first quarter of this year amounted to 414.7 billion KRW, recovering 103.3% compared to the same period in 2019 before COVID-19. The sales distribution by region was Southeast Asia 30.5%, Europe 27.8%, Americas 20.5%, and Japan 14.4% in order.
In line with the recovery of overseas travel, Hana Tour plans to expand air supply by developing new products and creating travel demand, including preparing direct charter flights to Japan’s Alpen Route, Alaska, and Oslo, Norway.
Additionally, through the 'Weekly Overseas Airfare Special' promotion, they are offering region-specific discounted air tickets and last-minute 'bargain air tickets' close to departure dates. When purchasing airline tickets, customers receive a 7% discount on hotels, local tours, and admission tickets, as well as discounts at major duty-free shops.
A Hana Tour representative stated, "Not only BSP-recorded sales but also airline ticket sales for package tours, which are not counted in BSP, are increasing," adding, "Our market share for overseas airline tickets will continue to expand."
