Imsil-gun, Jeollabuk-do announced on the 11th that it was selected as an ‘Excellent Institution’ for three consecutive years in the 2022 health checkup project evaluation.
The health checkup project evaluation, hosted by Jeollabuk-do, assesses five categories including national cancer screening participation rate, health checkup participation rate of medical aid beneficiaries, and support performance for detailed examinations of developmental disabilities in infants and young children, selecting excellent institutions accordingly.
The county encouraged health checkup participation by utilizing website postings and newspaper reports, promoted mobile health checkups through postal mailings, phone guidance, and village chief meetings to the target population, and distributed health checkup leaflets at township offices and health centers for publicity.
Additionally, it signed an agreement with the Population Health and Welfare Association, which can provide on-site cancer screenings, and worked hard to improve health checkup and cancer screening participation rates through cooperative medical examinations during mobile health checkups.
As a result of efforts to promote residents’ health and reduce medical expenses through early detection and treatment of diseases, such excellent outcomes were achieved.
This year’s general health checkup targets are heads of local households, workplace subscribers, local household members aged 20 or older, workplace dependents, and medical aid recipients aged 20 to 64 who were born in odd-numbered years.
Those who wish to receive a health checkup should maintain a fasting state for more than 8 hours for accurate test results and visit the county health medical center to undergo the examination.
County Governor Shim Min said, “It is important to receive health checkups on time to detect and treat diseases early, so please do not delay and make sure to get your checkup within this year.”
