New Superintendent Ulsan Office of Education to Hold Sewol Ferry 9th Anniversary Memorial Week

Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education is operating the 'Sewol Ferry Victims Memorial Week' from the 10th to the 16th to commemorate the 9th anniversary of the Sewol Ferry disaster victims and to promote a culture of safety.

During this period, the phrase "Sewol Ferry Victims Memorial Week" will be included at the top of official documents, and part of the memorial song "The Truth Does Not Remain Silent" will be set as a telephone ringtone.

A large memorial banner for the Sewol Ferry victims will be hung on the outer wall of the main office building to allow Ulsan citizens to participate in commemorating the 9th anniversary of the Sewol Ferry disaster.

At 10 a.m. on the 14th, a moment of silence memorial event will be held. On this day, Superintendent Cheon Chang-su will observe a moment of silence with senior officials in the main office lobby to honor the victims. All affiliated institutions of the Office of Education will conduct the event autonomously.

Schools will autonomously conduct safety education and memorial education for the Sewol Ferry victims linked to the curriculum until the 28th.
