Sinsung ENG will participate in the "20th International Green Energy Expo," the largest renewable energy specialized exhibition in Korea, held for three days from the 12th to the 14th.
At the exhibition, Sinsung ENG will introduce high-efficiency, high-output solar modules utilizing next-generation technology. For the first time in Korea, they will showcase a bifacial solar module based on the N-type TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) cell, recognized as next-generation technology. This product features an N-type wafer with a thin oxide layer that improves efficiency through faster electron mobility.
The "550W high-output bifacial module" applies large-area solar cells (M10). It has obtained Grade 1 certification under the carbon verification system, expected to enhance the eco-friendliness of solar module products and contribute to global greenhouse gas reduction.
They will also exhibit "floating solar modules" that can be used on rivers, lakes, and seas. These modules have enhanced durability to withstand salt and high humidity. Sinsung ENG has proven its competitiveness by participating in various national projects, including the installation of floating solar power plants. With the Ministry of Environment recently announcing plans to expand floating solar power facilities to a total of 1.1GW by 2030, demand is expected to grow further.
Sinsung ENG also provides solutions to achieve RE100. By installing solar modules on the roof and idle land of the Yongin Smart Factory, they use renewable energy for 40% of the factory's operation, achieving a 96% reduction in carbon emissions. They share this know-how and experience to support domestic companies in achieving RE100.
A representative from Sinsung ENG stated, "We will lead the related market with differentiated technological capabilities, developing solar modules using HJT and perovskite cells, which are evaluated as the highest in power generation efficiency beyond N-type." They added, "We will also contribute to revitalizing renewable energy trading by launching an open platform connecting solar power operators and RE100 demanders."
The expo, hosted by Gyeongsangbuk-do and Daegu Metropolitan City and organized by four domestic renewable energy-related associations including the Korea Photovoltaic Industry Association, is expected to have a total of 200 participating companies and around 20,000 visitors.
