Understanding Our Region for a Life of Dignity
Jeonnam Yeongam-gun (Governor Woo Seung-hee) Comprehensive Social Welfare Center announced on the 7th that it conducted an on-site tour of Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries for 120 Yeongam Citizen Academy trainees on the 6th.
This tour was promoted as part of the 'Knowing Our Region' program, one of the courses in the Citizen Academy education program. During the travel time, a cultural tourism guide provided a 'history tour' explaining the history of Yeongam, followed by watching promotional videos and touring the factory facilities at Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries, enhancing understanding of the region's history and the site.
After the tour, the trainees said, "We prayed for the attraction of the National Mahan History and Culture Center, which is essential for our county, and had a special experience visiting a place that individuals cannot easily access."
A county official stated, "It was an opportunity to increase understanding of the region's history, culture, and industrial facilities, as well as to boost patriotism and pride as citizens." He added, "We will continue to strive to enhance citizens' capabilities and improve quality of life by discovering distinctive programs."
