The ‘ICT Industry-Based Professional Workforce Training Course’ is a project promoted by the district since 2018 to expand youth jobs in the region. It provides customized practical education and employment linkage in ICT fields such as cybersecurity, digital marketing, and deep learning developers for youth job seekers aged 20 to 39.
In particular, the district plans to invest a budget of 180 million KRW this year to expand from one course operated last year to a total of three courses for the ICT industry-based professional workforce training project, in line with the increasing industrial demand in the ICT sector.

Applicants must be nonprofit corporations or nonprofit private organizations with their main office in Seoul as of the announcement date, have experience operating education-related projects, and have the necessary personnel, classrooms, and office space to provide an educational environment.
Institutions wishing to apply should prepare the required documents such as the business plan and submit them in person to the Economic Promotion Division of Songpa-gu Office by 6 p.m. on April 10-11.
The district will review the submitted documents and proposal presentations from applicants and comprehensively evaluate their performance, feasibility of the business plan, executability, budget management plan, expertise, and understanding of the tasks to select the private consignment institutions.

Geumcheon-gu Signs Business Agreement to Create a Safe Delivery Culture
Cooperation on Delivery Platform Worker Education, Safe Delivery, and Awareness Improvement Campaigns
Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yoo Sung-hoon) signed a business agreement on the 5th at the Geumcheon-gu Office small conference room to prevent accidents among delivery platform workers and create a safe delivery culture.
The institutions signing the agreement are Geumcheon Police Station (Chief Choi Jin-tae), Seoul Southwest Workers’ Comprehensive Support Center (Center Director Lim Seung-woon), and the Delivery Platform Labor Union Western Branch (Branch Chief Kim Jung-hoon).
Through this agreement, the four institutions including Geumcheon-gu will cooperate on ▲ understanding the current status of delivery platforms ▲ preventing motorcycle accidents among delivery platform workers ▲ operating education on labor rights ▲ creating a safe delivery culture and awareness improvement campaigns ▲ and other projects related to delivery platform workers.
Geumcheon-gu was selected for the Ministry of Employment and Labor’s public project ‘Workplace Improvement Support Project for Platform Workers’ in March and secured a budget of 12 million KRW.

Gwangjin-gu to Provide 200,000 KRW per Child Monthly Until the End of This Year to Alleviate Childcare Burden
Targeting Youth Parents with Median Income Below 60%, Including Common-Law Marriages
Applications Accepted Year-Round at Community Service Centers; Both Parents Must Be 24 or Younger to Apply
“The baby’s father quit school and is busy working part-time... but thanks to the childcare support, we can breathe a little easier.”
Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) will provide 200,000 KRW per month in child-rearing support to youth parents facing economic burdens due to childcare.
Youth parents often give up their main occupation, studies, due to unplanned pregnancies and jump into livelihood activities. However, due to their young age, it is difficult to find stable jobs, causing significant burdens in securing childcare expenses.
Accordingly, the district operates the ‘Youth Parent Childcare Support Project.’ Following the pilot project last year, which benefited eight households, this year it has joined forces with the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and Seoul City to provide support.
The support target is couples under 24 years old who are actually raising children, with both parents meeting the age requirement. They must have a median income below 60% and maintain a marital relationship, including common-law marriages.
If selected, they will receive 200,000 KRW per child monthly. However, they must continuously meet the eligibility criteria, and support will be provided from the month of application until the end of this year.
Applicants should bring identification, family relation certificate, resident registration, and bankbook copy to the community service center with jurisdiction over the child’s resident registration address. After submitting the application, the responsible department will review it and notify the selection result within 30 days.
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “We believe the anxiety of youth parents raising children at an early stage is very high. We hope this project will help ease the economic burden of child-rearing and support stable family formation.”
