Gwangju Seobu Fire Station, Illegal Emergency Exit Closure Reporting Reward System

The 'Illegal Activity Reporting Reward System' is designed to minimize casualties caused by fires by eradicating illegal activities directly related to safety through voluntary public reporting and establishing a safety culture. Any citizen of Gwangju can make a report.

The targets for reporting include fire safety facility closures, blockages, or locking at multi-use facilities, cultural and assembly facilities, lodging facilities, and complex buildings, as well as ▲placing objects in hallways, stairs, and evacuation routes ▲closure or damage to evacuation fire prevention facilities.

To report, submit a report form with supporting evidence by visiting the relevant fire station or via mail or fax.

Submitted reports will be verified on-site and reviewed for rewards; if violations are confirmed, the reporter will receive a designated reward, and the responsible parties for illegal activities will be fined.

A fire official stated, "If the emergency exit, the door to life, is damaged or objects are piled in front of it, it can become a door to death," and added, "We ask for citizens' keen interest and cooperation so that voluntary safety management can be achieved."
