Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kim Ikang) announced on the 5th that it will publicly recruit new tenant companies for the Seo-gu Startup Center until the 20th.
Through this recruitment, Seo-gu plans to lease two independent offices for up to 4 people per company and six shared offices for up to 2 people per company free of charge to prospective and existing entrepreneurs aged 19 or older (within 7 years of establishment) to help them succeed as unicorn companies in the region.
Seo-gu will provide various support programs to tenant companies, including up to 2 years of free rent (independent offices), priority use of startup support facilities such as creative studios, ongoing startup consultations, expert mentoring by field, customized startup education, and connections to IR (external investment).
Applications can be submitted by the representative visiting the center in person with the application form, business plan, and other supporting documents.
A Seo-gu official said, "We are doing our best to establish a Seo-gu-style one-stop startup support system from idea to startup success," and added, "We ask for the interest of many young and early-stage entrepreneurs."
