Wintec is showing strong performance. This is interpreted as being influenced by news that its major client, SK Nexilis, is about to sign a copper foil supply contract worth 1 trillion won with Tesla.

According to the industry, SK Nexilis, the world's number one copper foil company, is reportedly close to signing a large-scale copper foil supply contract with Tesla, the world's leading electric vehicle manufacturer. The contract size between the two companies is estimated to be at least 1 trillion won. Some expect the contract could even reach the 2 trillion won range. Previously, in February, SK Nexilis signed a 5-year copper foil supply contract worth 1.4 trillion won with the Swedish battery company Northvolt.
Wintec, established in 1999, is a specialized manufacturer of inspection software and inspection equipment. It operates the FI (Film Inspector) business, which inspects the appearance of copper foil and aluminum film for secondary batteries. SK Nexilis is a major client for Wintec's copper foil inspection equipment.
SK Nexilis is investing 700 billion won in Malaysia to establish a factory with an annual capacity of 50,000 tons, and plans to invest about 900 billion won in Poland by 2024 to build a factory with an annual capacity of 50,000 tons. Accordingly, the market expects Wintec's performance to grow.
