Comprehensive content company Chorokbaem Media announced on the 5th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the global media group ‘TRA Media,’ which is introducing worldwide hit works to Korea for the first time, for joint program production, content distribution, and development of ancillary businesses.
Through this MOU, Chorokbaem Media will provide TRA Media with its excellent production expertise and know-how, while TRA Media will handle global distribution and marketing.
Seo Jang-won, CEO of Chorokbaem Media, said, “Through this partnership with TRA Media, which has global content distribution expertise, we expect to form a content value chain across more diverse genres and increase our impact, delivering sustainable enjoyment not only to domestic but also global viewers.”
Seong Nak-seop, Vice President of TRA Media, stated, “Through this strategic partnership with Chorokbaem Media, TRA Media expects to become a company more loved by viewers by providing various contents that embody Chorokbaem Media’s production capabilities, going beyond global content distribution.”
With this MOU, the two companies will jointly produce ‘Dowon Chart Season 3,’ the follow-up program to ‘Dowon Chart Season 2,’ which is produced and aired by Chorokbaem Media, marking a new season of Dowon Chart. ‘Dowon Chart’ is a seasonal program, and the upcoming ‘Dowon Chart Season 3’ is a live music talk show that adds music to the lives of stars.
Depending on the guest, the program selects special keywords to present the stars’ honest and candid life stories through an ‘Life Chart,’ and features their indispensable life songs such as ‘Songs That Changed My Life’ and ‘Songs That Give Meaning to My Existence.’
The two companies will prioritize joint program production to enhance mutual competitiveness through strategic partnership and gradually expand into areas of work leveraging each company’s know-how.
