Genesis BBQ Group Plants Trees with New Employees on Arbor Day

Genesis BBQ Group announced on the 5th that its new employees for the first half of 2023 held a tree planting event at Chicken University in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, in celebration of Arbor Day.

The 34th batch of new employees, who passed the open recruitment with a competition rate of 50:1 last February, received introductory and practical training related to the franchise industry, including franchise business law, sales, and profit and loss management, at Chicken University on the 31st of last month.

After completing the training schedule, the new employees planted about 50 saplings, including jujube trees and cherry trees, symbols of abundance and fertility, around the Chicken University site as part of their efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and contribute to carbon neutrality.

One new employee who participated in the tree planting said, "It was a very meaningful time to plant trees on the grounds of Chicken University, where I received my first training after joining BBQ," and added, "Like the trees that will sprout and grow in the warm spring, I will strive to nurture my dream as a global food service industry professional as a member of BBQ."

Following last year, BBQ also held a 'Carbon Neutral Practice Earth Love Tree Planting' event in commemoration of Arbor Day with the Male and Female Council of Saemaeul Jungri-dong, Icheon City this year, and donated 60 chickens through the 'Chicken Relay.'

A BBQ official stated, "As climate change has recently emerged as a serious social issue and the importance of environmental protection is growing, we plan to exert positive influence by taking responsibility and contributing to the preservation of the local environment through various programs."
