Response to African Swine Fever (ASF) Spread and Prevention of Crop Damage
Hampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 4th that it will officially operate the Nuisance Wildlife Damage Prevention Team during this year's harvest season.
The Nuisance Wildlife Damage Prevention Team is operated to prevent crop damage caused by nuisance wildlife such as wild boars and to respond to the spread of African Swine Fever (ASF).
Previously, the county selected 16 professional hunters through a recruitment announcement and completed capture operation guidelines and safety training for safe capture activities.

A county official stated, “Through the operation of the Nuisance Wildlife Damage Prevention Team, we will do our best to protect the safety and property of residents by preventing crop damage during the harvest season.”
Meanwhile, last year during the winter season, the county achieved results by capturing 40 wild boars and 78 water deer through the operation of the Nuisance Wildlife Damage Prevention Team.
