Gimhae City, Parking Violation Enforcement Suspended for 3 Hours During Daytime

From 11 AM to 2 PM, a total of 3 hours

Gimhae City in Gyeongnam announced on the 4th that it will expand the lunch hour parking violation enforcement exemption period to 3 hours starting from the 1st.

According to the city, parking enforcement had previously been exempted from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

To revitalize the local economy, which has been stagnant due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, and to enhance citizen convenience, the city has extended the exemption period by 1 hour, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, totaling 3 hours.

Enforcement based on resident reports through safety apps for the five major no-parking zones?bus stops, fire hydrants, intersection corners, crosswalks, and school zones?as well as other prohibited areas such as sidewalks, bridges, and safety zones, will remain unchanged.

Violations causing obstruction to vehicle traffic and flow will still be subject to enforcement.

A city official stated, “We have extended the lunch hour parking enforcement exemption period considering the shortage of parking spaces and the local economic situation. We hope this will provide even a small help to small business owners and citizens.”
