GS25, a convenience store operated by GS Retail, will participate exclusively among convenience stores as a usage location for the 'Agricultural Food Voucher,' which supports vulnerable groups in purchasing domestic fruits, eggs, meat, and other products from this month until November in 18 project areas nationwide (including parts of Busanjin-gu, Gangwon’s Pyeongchang and Hwacheon, and Gyeongnam’s Miryang).

The Agricultural Food Voucher is a project conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs to enhance food accessibility for vulnerable groups, provide nutritional supplementation support, and establish a sustainable agricultural food consumption base. Eligible recipients can visit voucher usage locations to purchase supported items. A monthly amount of 40,000 KRW is provided per single-person household.

The advantage of being able to easily and quickly purchase products at nearby GS25 stores within the pilot areas, along with various monthly promotions, is expected to provide voucher users with shopping convenience and more cost-effective consumption activities. Additionally, in the first half of the year, the agricultural food voucher will also be usable at GS The Fresh supermarkets within the pilot areas.

Ji Byung-joo, Manager of the Promotion Part in the Platform Marketing Division at GS Retail, said, “GS25 is pleased to participate in government support projects aimed at nutritional support for low-income and vulnerable groups amid difficult social circumstances,” and added, “We will actively carry out ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) activities, including participation in various social support initiatives such as the Agricultural Food Voucher project.”
