Gyeonggi-do Conducts Safety Inspections at 10 Suspension Bridges and Skywalks A Gyeonggi Province official is inspecting the suspension bridge.

Gyeonggi Province will conduct safety inspections on 'suspension bridges' and 'skywalks' within the province.


The province announced on the 2nd that from the 4th to the 14th, it will carry out urgent safety inspections on 10 suspension bridges and skywalks expected to attract large crowds during the spring outing season.


The inspection targets include ▲Eundemisan Cloud Bridge, Kkachiwool Cloud Bridge, Haugogae Cloud Bridge in Bucheon City ▲Gamak Mountain Suspension Bridge, Majang Lake Suspension Bridge, Majang Lake Skywalk in Paju City ▲Byeorutgyo, Busocheongyo, Naengjeong 1 Bridge, Naengjeong 2 Bridge in Pocheon City.


The province, in cooperation with the three cities, will focus on inspecting major structural parts for deformation and corrosion, damage to cable joints, corrosion status of main towers, cables, and anchorage hangers, as well as any shaking of railings and floor panels.


Through this safety management inspection, the province will carefully ensure that visitors can use the facilities safely. Safety measures and excellent management cases of the facilities will be shared and disseminated to cities, counties, and related organizations.


Yeon Je-chan, Director of the Safety Management Office of the province, stated, "We will continuously inspect so that residents can use the suspension bridges comfortably and safely," and added, "Gyeonggi Province will take the lead in preventing safety accidents to protect the lives and safety of its residents."
