Praying for the Successful Hosting of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Sports Festival
Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, will hold a free concert featuring the Gyeongbuk Provincial Symphony Orchestra on the 13th at the Uljin Yeonho Culture Center Auditorium to boost the atmosphere for the successful hosting of the 61st Gyeongbuk Provincial Sports Festival.
At this invited concert by the Gyeongbuk Provincial Symphony Orchestra, conductor Baek Jin-woo and over 40 orchestra members will perform a grand symphony, accompanied by singers Lee Eung-jin and Yoon Sung-i, who will sing hopeful songs cheering for the success of the Provincial Sports Festival.
The concert program, composed of jazz and K-POP familiar to the public so that anyone can enjoy it even if they are new to symphonic music, will feature various jazz pieces performed by the orchestra, a splendid stage created by singer Lee Eung-jin in harmony with the orchestra’s performance, and a fantastic harmony supporting the unity of the sports festival through a collaboration between popular singer Yoon Sung-i, known as the ultimate high-pitched vocalist of the celestial realm, and the symphony orchestra.
Kim Jong-yeol, Director of the Culture and Tourism Division, said, “Through this concert, we hope to collectively wish for the successful hosting of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Sports Festival, which will be held in Uljin for four days from April 21 to 24, and we ask for the interest of many residents so that it can be a time of support for the athletes and tourists visiting Uljin.”
