According to Thailand's largest daily newspaper Thai Rath on the 31st, Am Chutima held a concert on the afternoon of the 25th at a club in Nonhyeon-dong, Namdong-gu, Incheon. Many Thai fans came to see her performance, including a significant number of illegal Thai residents.

The police conducted inspections at the club and surrounding areas, arresting 158 illegal residents. Most of them were found to be working illegally in factories or massage parlors while residing in the country unlawfully. The illegal residents were reportedly transported in two buses for deportation procedures.

Following the arrests, Am Chutima canceled her scheduled performance in Cheonan on the 26th and immediately returned to her home country. Through a video posted on the social media platform TikTok, Am Chutima said, "I sincerely apologize. I am sorry. I support all Thais in Korea."

Meanwhile, the number of illegal Thai residents in Korea is estimated to be around 140,000. They are placed in a blind spot regarding human rights, as they do not receive basic welfare benefits. In Thailand, they are referred to as "Kkoma Yureong" (little ghosts).
