Busan Gijang-gun Jeonggwan-eup, Operating 'Visiting Mind Plus Welfare Counseling Center'

The Jeonggwan-eup Administrative Welfare Center in Gijang-gun, Busan, operated the "Visiting Mind Plus(+) Welfare Counseling Center" by visiting Jeonggwan LH Complex 4 on the 30th.


The Visiting Mind Plus(+) Welfare Counseling Center is a specialized project of Jeonggwan-eup that has been promoted since the second half of 2021. It involves related organizations and private committee members directly visiting local residents to identify their needs and provide customized welfare and mental health services.


Participants in the event included the Jeonggwan-eup Administrative Welfare Center, Gijang-gun Mental Health Welfare Center, Gijang-gun Senior Welfare Center (Ilgwang Branch), and members of the Community Security Council.

The committee members carried out various activities such as ▲ promoting the discovery of welfare blind spots and providing resident welfare counseling ▲ diagnosing depression by life cycle and conducting mental health campaigns ▲ guiding and accepting applications for senior customized care service projects ▲ promoting campaigns to discover welfare crisis households.


Choi Jin-ho, chairman of the Jeonggwan-eup Community Security Council, expressed his intention, saying, “We will actively work with the council members to discover crisis households so that no neighbors are left isolated.”


Song Young-jong, mayor of Jeonggwan-eup, stated, “We will continue to expand cooperation with related organizations within the jurisdiction to build a more solid welfare safety net and provide field-centered customized welfare services to create a warm welfare community in the area.”
