Jungjingong, Ongoing Recruitment of Companies Using Global Business Centers
12 Countries, 20 Locations Worldwide... Transition to Open Office Spaces
The Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced on the 2nd that it is continuously recruiting companies to utilize the 'Global Business Center (GBC)' which supports the settlement in overseas markets and export increase of small and venture businesses.
SBC has decided to reorganize and transform the export incubator, which was focused on nurturing, into the Global Business Center to provide customized overseas expansion support services for companies. The export incubator has been operating in 20 locations across 12 countries worldwide, starting with a base in Chicago, USA in 1998. By 2022, it supported a total of 5,928 companies and achieved approximately 9.3 billion USD in export performance, playing a significant role in the overseas market expansion of domestic companies.
Starting this year, the center will operate as an open smart work center that can be used as a networking and collaboration space during overseas business trips by about 2,000 small and venture companies annually, moving away from the previous support focused on around 300 resident companies. Applications can be made through the online reservation management system from the 3rd. Additionally, the 'Global Business Support Group' will be newly operated twice a month online and offline, providing free advisory services on local market information, legal, tax/accounting, and labor matters for small and venture companies in the early stages of overseas expansion. It plans to conduct video consultations for more than 2,500 companies annually by connecting companies wishing to expand from regional bases nationwide with the Global Business Center.
Chairman Kim Hak-do said, "We will do our best to ensure that the Global Business Center becomes a reliable guide leading small and venture companies to successful overseas market entry."
