Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority and Gwangyang Disabled Welfare Center Hold Win-Win Event

YGPA-Disabled Welfare Center, Successful Friendly Bowling Tournament

Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Park Seong-hyun, YGPA) announced on the 31st that it held a friendly bowling tournament at the World Bowling Center with the Gwangyang Disabled Welfare Center (Director Lee Young-jae, Disabled Welfare Center) in Gwangyang City to promote communication and enhance welfare for local people with disabilities.


On this day, about 20 YGPA executives and employees, including President Park Seong-hyun, and 15 members of the Disabled Welfare Center director Lee Young-jae and the disabled bowling team participated, taking time to understand and exchange the shared values of coexistence created by both organizations.

In particular, this event was conducted with disabled bowling players as mentors and YGPA executives and employees as mentees forming teams, aiming to enhance mutual understanding between the institutions and promote more active communication and harmony.


A YGPA official stated, “We hope this event will widely spread the successful achievements created by disabled bowling players to the local community and serve as a stepping stone for continuous collaboration between the two organizations to build a community where people with disabilities can live well.”


Meanwhile, since 2020, YGPA has been continuously collaborating with the Gwangyang Disabled Welfare Center on communication programs to nurture disabled bowling players and expand social participation opportunities for people with disabilities.
