The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education has selected 21 organizations to receive social organization subsidies this year. Last year, the office also provided subsidies to 21 organizations.
The social organization subsidy program is operated annually to activate public interest projects of education and academic-related social organizations recommended by the Office of Education, and to promote public interest activities in collaboration with the education office and local communities for mutual growth.
The selected organizations include ▲2 for future education ▲9 for capacity building ▲4 for educational communities ▲3 for resolving educational blind spots ▲3 for school safety.
The Office of Education will support project expenses related to education conducted from April to November, such as enhancing future education capabilities using edutech, learning support for multicultural family youth, cultural and artistic learning support for students with disabilities, career and character education for out-of-school youth, and youth psychological healing programs.
Jimi-sook, Director of Lifelong Education at the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, emphasized, "The social organization subsidy program supports social organizations that can participate together with local communities and educational communities to complement and enhance Gyeonggi education policies." She added, "We will actively support each social organization to operate their projects appropriately and soundly."
