Toyota Hydrogen Car Selected as 'Best Commercial Concept Car'

2023 Future Mobility Awards Ceremony... Hydrogen Pickup Truck

Korea Toyota Motor announced that the Toyota Hilux hydrogen fuel cell prototype was selected as the best concept car in the commercial vehicle category at the ‘2023 Future Mobility of the Year awards (FMOTY)’ ceremony held at the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show at KINTEX in Ilsan, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi Province.

The ‘Future Mobility Award’ is the world’s only international concept car award ceremony hosted by the Cho Chun-sik Mobility Graduate School of KAIST since 2019. Among the concept cars introduced in the previous year, the best models showcasing useful transportation technologies and innovative services for future society are selected in two categories: passenger and commercial vehicles.

Toyota’s e-Palette and Concept-I WALK were previously selected as the best concept cars in the commercial vehicle and personal mobility categories at the ‘2019 Future Mobility’ awards.

The Toyota Hilux hydrogen fuel cell prototype, which won this year, is a concept car unveiled in December last year. It is a model equipped with the second-generation hydrogen fuel cell system used in Toyota’s latest Mirai hydrogen vehicle, installed on Toyota’s representative pickup truck, the Hilux.
