CJ CheilJedang Haechandle Gochujang Becomes First in Korea to Obtain 'V Label'

CJ CheilJedang announced on the 31st that Haechandle Gochujang has become the first in Korea to obtain the European vegan certification 'V-Label.'

The V-Label is a global vegan certification used in more than 30 countries and is recognized for its international credibility.

The certified products include 18 types sold domestically and internationally, such as Haechandle 100% Korean Rice Sun-Dried Gochujang and Haechandle 100% Domestic Gochujang. These products passed stringent evaluation criteria including ▲no use of animal-derived ingredients ▲prevention of cross-contamination with animal-based ingredients during production ▲no inclusion of genetically modified (GMO) components. Through this certification, CJ CheilJedang expects that gochujang, a representative K-sauce item, will capture vegan demand in the global market and expand sales.

A CJ CheilJedang official stated, "We expect that through this certification, Haechandle Gochujang will be able to get closer to not only domestic but also global consumers," adding, "We will continue to actively reflect trends that emphasize health and the environment to solidify our position as the number one gochujang brand."
