Delivery Driver Who Stuck a Thumbtack on the Elevator Close Button and Ran Away

Outrage Over Unreasonable Atrocities

A delivery worker attached thumbtacks to the elevator close button in a certain commercial building and fled, causing injuries to residents.

On the 30th, multiple online communities posted a photo of a notice attached to a building, asking people to report the incident.

The notice stated, "An accident occurred where a resident was injured due to thumbtacks being attached to the elevator close button," and urged, "Please check if there are any thumbtacks or sharp objects that could cause injury attached to the button."

Following this, a photo showing a person who appears to be a delivery worker attaching thumbtacks to the elevator close button was posted, with a request to "report the suspect in the photo to 112."

The individual in the photo, wearing a helmet and vest, seems to be using a multipurpose adhesive similar to modeling clay, peeling it off bit by bit to stick the thumbtacks onto the button.

Netizens commented, "Looks like the person who closed the door without waiting for them is the one using that elevator," and "They definitely came prepared with thumbtacks out of spite."

Some criticized, saying, "They’re stupid to do that even while wearing a helmet since they’ll get caught," "The delivery company’s name is all over their clothes, so they’ll be caught quickly," and "Why do that when CCTV records everything?"

Legal experts suggest that the delivery worker’s actions could be classified as 'special assault.'
