Good Donation Activity Hosted by Chicken University
Held Weekly with the Korean Red Cross
Chicken franchise Genesis BBQ Group announced on the 30th that it will expand the 'Good Donation' program of Chicken University in partnership with the Korean Red Cross.
BBQ stated that the Good Donation, which was hosted and conducted by Chicken University, will be expanded into an activity where 260 volunteers from the Korean Red Cross visit the homes of low-income elderly living alone, grandparent-grandchild families, and others in need every Wednesday to deliver chicken and check on their well-being.

To this end, on the 29th, 24 volunteers from the Korean Red Cross Gyeonggi-do Gwangju District Council visited Chicken University. After an introduction to Genesis BBQ Group and Chicken University's social contribution activities, they participated in a chicken camp where they made Golden Olive Chicken themselves.
Chicken University is a training center where franchisees and employees receive education. During the training at Chicken University, they prepare all the menu items of BBQ Chicken themselves. The prepared chicken is donated through the Good Donation program to child welfare facilities, elderly welfare facilities, and facilities for the disabled. This is one of the ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) activities that combine educational projects and social contributions.
Choi Moon-hee, president of the Korean Red Cross Volunteer Association Gwangju District Council, who participated in the orientation that day, said, "I am glad to be part of spreading positive influence," and added, "We learned how the chicken we will donate is made, and I feel proud to be able to share good products."
Meanwhile, BBQ delivered approximately 60 million KRW worth of chicken over two months until the 29th to 19 child welfare facilities, 14 facilities for the disabled, 9 elderly welfare facilities, 4 free meal centers, and 2 military units in the first quarter of this year.
