Promotion for Hosting the 2030 Busan World Expo Using Branches
Large Banner Displayed to Support Hosting... Building Consensus
Busan City announced that it will launch an all-out promotional campaign for the 2030 Busan World Expo in collaboration with Dongseong Motors, the official BMW dealer in the Busan and Gyeongnam regions.
This initiative is a voluntary effort by Dongseong Motors to boost nationwide enthusiasm for hosting the 2030 Busan World Expo ahead of the upcoming on-site inspection by the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) scheduled for early April, which is one of the most critical steps in the bidding process.
Accordingly, Dongseong Motors will utilize all of its branches operating in the Busan area to promote the event to the public.
Large banners wishing for the successful hosting of the 2030 Busan World Expo will be displayed on the exteriors of nine buildings in Busan, including BMW showrooms. The banners will feature the phrase: “Busan is Ready! WORLD EXPO 2030 BUSAN, KOREA ? BMW Dongseong Motors Supports You.”
Additionally, promotional videos for the 2030 Busan World Expo will be continuously played on large screens inside the showrooms to actively encourage visitors’ interest and support.
The showrooms operated by Dongseong Motors are located along major arterial roads in areas with high foot traffic and vehicle flow, such as Haeundae, Geumjeong-gu, Sasang-gu, and Jungang-dong, making them highly effective venues for building public consensus for the bid.
Moreover, Dongseong Motors’ strong brand image is expected to greatly contribute to fostering a spirit of public participation in promoting the 2030 Busan World Expo bid.
Celebrating its 27th anniversary this year, Dongseong Motors is the dominant player in the imported car industry, operating a network that integrates 18 showrooms and 11 service centers across the Yeongnam region, including Busan, Ulsan, Pohang, Changwon, and Jinju.
Following the promotional campaign in Busan, the company is also considering utilizing its showrooms in other regions.
Seok Sang-woo, CEO of Dongseong Motors, who voluntarily took part in this joint promotion, said, “As a citizen, I will continue to do my best to promote the hosting of the 2030 Busan World Expo.” He added, “I hope all Busan citizens will join with one heart and actively participate with interest and support in securing the World Expo.”
Na Yoon-bin, spokesperson for the Busan City government, stated, “With the BIE on-site inspection just around the corner, every bit of active participation and support from citizens, companies, and organizations is more important than ever.” She expressed deep gratitude to Dongseong Motors for their active involvement in this joint promotion and said, “We will continue to cooperate with many institutions to raise nationwide enthusiasm for hosting the 2030 Busan World Expo.”
Dongseong Motors is also the official sponsor of the ‘Goeun Photo Museum,’ Busan’s first and representative photo-specialized art museum, and the world’s first museum dedicated to the renowned photographer Ralph Gibson, the ‘Ralph Gibson Photo Museum.’ The company actively engages in various social contribution activities that provide local citizens with diverse cultural and artistic experiences, fulfilling its role as a socially responsible enterprise.
