[2023 Asset Disclosure] Prosecutor General Lee Won-seok 2.2 Billion Won... Chief Prosecutor No Jeong-yeon Tops Again This Year

Prosecutor General Lee Won-seok reported assets worth 2.2 billion KRW, an increase of 200 million KRW compared to last year. This increase is due to the rise in the value of real estate owned by his family and father. Following last year, Busan High Prosecutor General Noh Jeong-yeon reported the highest amount of assets within the prosecution this year as well.

According to the '2023 Regular Asset Change Report Disclosure' released on the 30th by the Government Official Ethics Committee through the official gazette, Prosecutor General Lee reported owning assets worth 2.2 billion KRW.

He reported land totaling 18 million KRW, including 695.60㎡ and 115.70㎡ of land and 688.00㎡ of forest land in Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, registered under his father's name.

Additionally, he reported buildings worth 2.358 billion KRW, including an apartment in Noryangjin-dong under his name valued at 287 million KRW, a leasehold right for an apartment in Bangbae-dong worth 750 million KRW, and apartments under the names of his spouse, father, eldest son, and second son totaling 1.321 billion KRW.

He disclosed deposits totaling 213 million KRW, including 132 million KRW under his name, 48 million KRW under his spouse's name, 6 million KRW under his father's name, 7 million KRW under his mother's name, 13 million KRW under his eldest son's name, and 6 million KRW under his second son's name.

He reported debts of 390 million KRW related to building rental liabilities.

Among prosecution executives, Busan High Prosecutor General Noh Jeong-yeon reported the highest assets again this year, with 8.062 billion KRW.

Prosecutor General Noh reported an apartment in Seocho-gu jointly owned with his spouse valued at 3.358 billion KRW, an office worth 368.86 million KRW, and a leasehold right for an apartment in Seocho-gu under his spouse's name valued at 1.85 billion KRW.

Other prosecutors reporting assets exceeding 3 billion KRW include Daejeon District Prosecutor General Lee Jin-dong (6.344 billion KRW), Cheongju District Prosecutor General Bae Yong-won (4.685 billion KRW), Daegu High Prosecutor Deputy Chief Hong Jong-hee (4.485 billion KRW), Daegu District Prosecutor General Joo Young-hwan (3.528 billion KRW), and Seoul High Prosecutor Deputy Chief Noh Man-seok (3.037 billion KRW).

Among senior officials at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, Planning and Coordination Director Song Kang reported 3.03081 billion KRW, Criminal Affairs Director Hwang Byung-joo reported 2.939 billion KRW, Trial and Litigation Director Kim Seon-hwa reported 2.581 billion KRW, and Scientific Investigation Director Jeong Jin-woo reported 1.814 billion KRW.
