[2023 Asset Disclosure] Kim Hyun-sook, Minister of Gender Equality and Family, 4.07 Billion KRW... Decrease of 460 Million KRW

Minister of Gender Equality and Family Kim Hyun-sook reported assets worth around 4 billion KRW as of the end of last year.

According to the 2023 regular asset change report disclosed by the Government Ethics Committee on the 30th, Minister Kim reported assets totaling 4,070,147,000 KRW, a decrease of 455,478,000 KRW compared to the previous year.

Real estate assets remained the same as the previous year, consisting of an apartment in Seocho-gu, Seoul, registered under her and her spouse's names, valued at 1,780,000,000 KRW.

Deposits held by herself, her spouse, eldest son, and second son totaled 1,643,346,000 KRW, down 72,784,000 KRW from the previous year's 1,716,130,000 KRW. The minister's personal deposits amount to 228,202,000 KRW. The change was due to savings and deposit usage.

The spouse's unlisted shares (1,980,000 shares of Opes Global Co., Ltd.) valued at 986,040,000 KRW and the second son's listed shares (1 share of RFHIC) valued at 29,000 KRW decreased in value due to losses, dropping to 586,080,000 KRW and 22,000 KRW respectively.

Deputy Minister of Gender Equality and Family Lee Ki-soon reported a total of 5,586,965,000 KRW, including land and warehouses in Gapyeong-gun and Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, an apartment in Songpa-gu, Seoul (1,410,000,000 KRW) registered under her spouse's name, and deposits of 2,183,055,000 KRW. Although salary savings increased, the value of held stocks decreased, resulting in a total similar to the previous year's 5,586,259,000 KRW.
