Gyeongsang National University, Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development Sign Agreement to Promote University-Based Startups

Promise of Collaboration in Various Startup Fields Including Tech Startups

Gyeongsang National University signed a business agreement for a startup-centered university to revitalize university-led startups and regional startup hubs with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development at Sungkyunkwan University Suwon Campus on the 28th.

Through this agreement, Gyeongsang National University and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development promised to cooperate in various startup fields, including technology startups.


Gyeongsang National University plans to discover and nurture excellent startup companies in the Southeast region's innovative industries, such as aerospace and medical/bio industries, which are specialized industries in western Gyeongnam, as well as knowledge industries in Busan and energy-based smart green mobility in Ulsan.


Vice President Jeong Jae-woo said, "Through this agreement, Gyeongsang National University will further strengthen efforts to revitalize the startup ecosystem in the Southeast region," adding, "We will do our best to help prospective entrepreneurs and startup companies with creative ideas and excellent technological capabilities leap into unicorn companies."
