'National Comedian' Nam Hee-seok Appointed as Public Relations Ambassador for Seoul Gangseo-gu to Promote District Festivals, Events, and Brand Image
Seoul Gangseo-gu (Mayor Kim Tae-woo) appointed 'National Comedian Nam Hee-seok' as a public relations ambassador on the 29th to promote the innovatively transforming Gangseo-gu and enhance the district's brand image.
At 2 p.m. on the same day, Mayor Kim Tae-woo held an 'Ambassador Appointment Ceremony' in the mayor's office and presented the appointment certificate to comedian Nam Hee-seok.
Nam Hee-seok, appointed as Gangseo-gu's public relations ambassador, will serve for the next two years to promote district administration through local festivals, events, and more.

Comedian Nam Hee-seok has a deep connection with Gangseo-gu. Having lived in Gayang-dong and Deungchon-dong in Gangseo-gu, he is very familiar with the district's characteristics, surrounding infrastructure, and popular restaurants, showing great affection for the area. His two daughters were also born in Gangseo-gu.
Nam Hee-seok debuted in 1991 through KBS's 1st University Comedy Contest and is a veteran broadcaster with 33 years of experience. He is currently active as a professional MC on Channel A's program 'Now, Going to Meet You.'
Additionally, he has consistently appeared on numerous programs such as tvN's 'Accidental Adults' and KBS2's 'Beauty's Talk,' earning public love with his friendly and warm image.
Mayor Kim Tae-woo said, “Nam Hee-seok’s hearty laughter and bright smile naturally bring smiles to viewers, and his positive energy resembles the district administration’s core values of ‘Change,’ ‘Togetherness,’ and ‘Happiness.’ We expect him to effectively promote Gangseo-gu as a national comedian who embraces diverse social groups.”
