According to the Gwangju Southern Fire Station, a fire was reported around 7 p.m. on the 29th in the basement of a motel in Wolsan-dong, Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City.

So far, four people, including guests, have inhaled smoke from the fire and were transported to the hospital by the responding firefighters.

The fire authorities believe the fire started in a karaoke room located in the basement of the motel building and are conducting firefighting and rescue operations simultaneously.
