The Women’s Association of Ulleung-gun, Gyeongbuk, held a ‘Gochujang Making and Sharing Event’ at the Ulleung Hanmaeum Hall from the 28th to the 29th.
About 30 members of the Women’s Association of Ulleung-gun participated in the event, making and packaging gochujang themselves, and carried out a sharing event by delivering 2kg of gochujang to over 150 households of elderly living alone and neighbors in need within the region.

In particular, the women’s association members and the town and township officials personally visited the recipients, inquiring about their well-being and keeping them company, taking care of the elderly directly.
Choi Yoon-jung, president of the Women’s Association, said, “Seeing the elderly happy to receive this food gives us a sense of fulfillment, and we will continue activities that contribute to spreading the culture of sharing.”
Nam Han-kwon, the county governor, said, “I hope that more warm hands of kindness will come together so that the local community will be filled with warmer warmth.”
